19-10-2010 - Architectural glazing systems designer Metal Technology, in partnership with Panel Systems, a leading manufacturer of bespoke composite panels, has developed System 17 Cassette curtain walling , an innovative and cost-effective, flush-glazed façade.
Metal Technology, based in Antrim, Northern Ireland, specialises in the design and distribution of bespoke fenestration systems, including windows, doors and curtain walling.
System 17 Cassette curtain walling has recently passed rigorous air and weather tightness tests for curtain walling at the CWCT – Centre for Window and Cladding Technology.
The system was developed to meet the needs of building designers looking for an alternative to traditional curtain walling systems, where the composite panels sit in an existing frame, which can often look bulky.
19-10-2010 - Composite Panels are often completely manufactured off-site in tightly controlled conditions and, once produced, they are delivered to site, complete with internal and external finishes, ready for construction. The benefits offered by PSL panels have proved very popular with architects and specifiers of large-scale projects. By demanding ever more innovative building products, they have helped to drive forward advancements in the off-site manufacturing techniques of our panels, as well as their added-value performance.
PSL have devised new solutions that deliver additional tangible benefits, such as high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation, while developing off-site manufacturing techniques to further reduce build times.
